Fender Japan TL52 OWB Off White Blonde Telecaster Electric Guitar F S from Japan
This is an awesome 1963 Telecaster, all original except for the finish.
I bought this guitar in August 1977 from the original owner in dead mint condition and immediately disassembled it to find the body date being ’63 and the neck date being 12-61! This is a very rare find as you Fender aficionados know; neck and body dates are always the same year! That means we have a coveted slab board rosewood neck. Everything on this instrument is original down to the screws; all solder joints are virgin. I also have the ashtray pickup cover which is included also. The serial number is L04364. Pot numbers: 70-2125-0034 250K AUD 304 6329.
The sound is absolutely amazing with warm neck pickup tones and clean, biting sounds from the bridge pickup. The guitar has been kept in a non-smoking home and was in the case (not included) under the bed from 1981 through 1998. It was never subject to direct sunlight or extremes in temperature or humidity.
In 1980 (in my infinite wisdom) I decided to refinish the body and made a slight contour where your forearm rests on the body. The original finish was nitro cellulous blonde. There is a moderate amount of fret wear as they are original also. E-mail me for additional photos. Shipping in US only.
THIS HAS BEEN AN AMAZING GUITAR AND IT’S A SHAME I HAVE TO GIVE IT UP BUT I AM STARTING A BUSINESS AND NEED START UP MONEY.
