Fender Custom Shop's Time Machine 1963 Telecaster Relic Guitar is modeled after the Telecasters built during 1963 and played by a number of artists. This guitar has been aged so that it truly looks like a guitar from the 60s. The finish features nicks, scratches, and other aging signs, plus the hardware is rusted and the plastic have been aged to match the rest of the look. This guitar features a select alder body with a three-ply Mint Green pickguard and a C shape maple neck, just like the original 1963 Telecaster. This Tele has a round laminate rosewood fingerboard that has a 7.25 inch radius and 21 vintage style frets. The guitar has two vintage original spec '63 Tele single-coil pickups and a three position blade that includes bridge pickup, neck pickup with tone control, and neck pickup with no tone control. The bridge itself is an original vintage style Tele bridge with three threaded steel saddles and an ash tray bridge cover. All of the features unique to the 1963 Telecaster have been recreated for this guitar, including the neck, the top hat switch tip, and the fingerboard.
