THE BLACK BODY IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. NO RASH OR MISSING PAINT. ALL I CAN SEE IS THAT TINY DENT. ON THE PICTURE OF THE BACK OF THE BODY IT LOOKS LIKE MISSING PAINT BUT ITS THE PLUSH OFF THE CASE.

This is a great guitar in great condition. I've had a bunch of MIJ and CIJ instruments and I'm always impressed with Japanese craftsmanship. This Tele Thinline is a great example. This is a CIJ/ Crafted in Japan Fender, SN# A036484. You don't see many of these and they are getting more and more rare. The Mexican re-issues don't hold a candle to the Japan craftsmanship. I recently picked up a JV Strat and I really don't play this Tele anymore. It's been played but is in exceptional condition. I take care of all of my guitars and this one has been rarely gigged and mostly played in my smoke-free home. I don't play it anymore so it's time to part with it and pass it on to a player.
You could pay over a thousand dollars to get one of these imported from Japan or you could save a bunch of money and get this one. Very minor play wear, some minor scuffing to neck plate (pictured.) All electronics in working order, the neck is straight and holds its tune nicely. I love the vintage hardware and the humbuckers, while not the original Seth Lovers with the bizarre magnets made of Unobtanium, sound nice to me. It's a really versatile guitar and could cover everything from heavy rock to jazz. Throw some flats on this and get your Ed Bickert on. (For those of you who don't know him...a true jazz legend and a great Tele player.) This'll do country and it'll do crunch. 
The OHSC (pictured) has a couple of scuffs but is fully functional and the interior is in great shape and free from any funky smells.

This is a guitar that was made 1985/1986 according to the serial number. The is not dead mint but pretty close to it.
There is no rust, very very little real wear to the finish, it has been carefully used and taken care of.
I am the second owner, This guitar sounds great and plays great, I recently had a set up and intonation done.
The guitar is bone stock with no modifications.
The case is the original plastic case that came with Fender guitars from this era. (pics to follow)
