This is a Fender Tele-Sonic, a model made between 1998 and 2004 after
Fender acquired the DeArmond brand. They did this model and another
called the Strato-Sonic, both of which were basically a Fender
telecaster/ stratocaster with DeArmond humbuckers and a Les Paul style
switching setup. The neck is also a bit thicker than a standard tele.
Anyway, I bought this a few years back from TrueTone in Santa Monica and
never really played it much. I have another tele that I use primarily,
and this one has just been sitting in a corner for 4 years. As you can see from
the pics, this guitar is in immaculate shape. Guitar was made in the
Corona, CA factory. The plastic is even still on the panels on the back
that cover the electronics and I have the original factory manufacturing tag still,
which you can see in the pics. Also comes with all the owners
manuals, strap locks, and documentation, which is still in the original
plastic bag. Not a blemish on it, this was never gigged and sat in its
case most of the time. These are pretty rare, and it is not very often
you come across one in this sort of shape. Also, this particular color
was only offered in the last year of production, so there are very few
of these out there. Deluxe hard shell case that you see in the pics is included. Specs are below:
